Introduction to Kabbalah
Introduction to Kabbalah
This course provides a foundational understanding of the history of Kabbalah and the story of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai, the founder of Kabbalah. It also aids to expand our consciousness and awareness through the profound understanding of Jewish mysticism, that this world is being created over and over again by the wisdom of the tzimtzum and how does this knowledge reflect into our daily life.
This class also provides a basic understanding about the essence of the light, which is love. This helps us to create transformation, meaning to change from our place to a new place, find balance and experience less emotional tribulations, while planting seeds of divine wisdom, which is the equivalent to the superconscious in the psychotherapy world. Those seeds help us to find within ourselves the strength to make the change, to transform ourselves, thus transforming our world.
Tzimtzum- Within us, it means to contract your ego, to make a conscious action like an inner command, to withdraw your senses inward and to get into a state of observation, reviewing the situation. On a broader sense, according to the divine wisdom of Judaism,, the tzimtzum is defined as the action that the Creator did in order to allow us to be created to live our life in a world of free will. In other words, it is the contraction and expansion of the Light.
