Denim jacket sewing course
Denim jacket sewing course
In this course I teach you how to sew a denim jacket from a commercial pattern with your own measurements. In the first lecture you will take your measurements and trace your pattern, then prepare your pattern pieces and cut out the fabric to be ready to start sewing. In this project I teach you in 8 lectures some easy steps how to sew this denim jacket. The panels are sewn together with french seams, which give it a very neat finishing on the inside. This jacket has a pleat at the center back with a belt and belt casing. On the front of the jacket you have to sew two different kinds of patch pockets with flaps and the button stands. The collar with a collar stand, and the beautiful top stitching makes this jacket look very professional. The sleeves and bottom of the jacket have fold over hems and the movable metal buttons are easy to install and add to a beautiful finishing of the project. This jacket can be made from any pattern with a button stand and a collar with a collar stand, as I give you the template for the pockets. It will also be lovely in linen fabric with three quarter sleeves for summer time.
