** An overview of the arterial tree, from the aortic arch, to the distal branches of cerebral arteries using illustrations, skull model models of cervical vertebrae & angiographic images.

This includes:

- Aortic arch, its branches & its common & less anatomical variants.

- Segments & branches of the following arteries: common carotid artery (CCA), internal carotid artery (ICA), anterior cerebral artery (ACA) & middle cerebral artery (MCA).

- Segments & branches of the following arteries: subclavian artery, vertebral artery (VA), basilar artery (BA) & posterior cerebral artery (PCA).

Hand drawn illustrations are followed by plates including summary of each piece of information. Also, angiographic images are included to form a base for understanding cerebral angiography & facilitate interpretation of various vascular studies of the brain.

Segmentation of the internal carotid artery (ICA) is discussed following modified Fischer classification (Alain Bouthillier classification). All 7 segments are discussed on a skull model & the branches of each segment.

Some mnemonics are mentioned during the lectures to facilitate remembering the branches of subclavian artery, the branches of the external carotid artery (ECA) & the cortical branches of anterior cerebral artery (ACA).

Segments of vertebral artery (VA) are both hand drawn & illustrated on a model of cervical vertebrae.

All lectures are best viewed on large screens of computers & tablets. Although viewing on mobile phones is accepted.
