why do we need to learn word?

well that's a good question, we learn MS- Word because it is very important to know word before applying to any jobs as word is the basic thing that any company wants their employee to know, Word is used for letter writing, making resumes, invitation , professional documents and etc.

Who invented Microsoft Word? Software developers Richard Brodie and Charles Simonyi released the Multi-Tool Word for the UNIX operating system in 1983. Later that year, the program was rewritten to run on personal computers under MS-DOS and was renamed Microsoft Word.

Why was MS Word invented?

It was designed for use on computers that ran the UNIX operating system. Word was a WYSIWYG ('what you see is what you get') program. This meant that however a document looked on screen was how it would look once printed.
