Obstetric ultrasound, also known as prenatal or pregnancy ultrasound uses high frequency sound waves to produce images of a developing embryo The procedure also monitors the health of the mothers uterus ovaries and the blood flow through the umbilical cord to the placenta Your doctor will use information from obstetric ultrasounds to track pregnancy progress gestational age and help predict delivery dates

Nt scan is a special ultrasound done between 11-14 week just before completion of 3 months the ultrasound probe is kept on your abdominal wall ie your tummy and the scan is done you have to full your bladder means you have to hold your urine before going to this scan
6 what is Anomaly scan
this scan is done between 18-22 wks it is also known as
mid pregnancy scan
20 wk scan

7 What is growth scan
growth scan is usually done around 32-34 weeks in normal pregnancy that is around 8 months this scan can be done in one or more than one time if require and also it can be done after 28 wks in special cases if necessary special cases
it takes around 30-40min of time as the colours
Doppler also performed during the growth scan no need to hold the urine before going to this scan or full the bladder
