Be Happy! Overcome & Shift Hidden Beliefs Patterns & Stories

Be Happy! Overcome & Shift Hidden Beliefs Patterns & Stories

Hello, Everyone. My name is Michael Vukelic and I'm going to be your host here during the entire course on how to Overcome self-sabotage; how to overcome pain and struggle in your life.

You know you're in the right place if you wrestle with negativity, a lack of quality or consistent quality of life, you struggled to reach your goals and the experiences you really desire. Something always interrupts your progress and you can't quite get there. It could be in your relationships. It could be at work. It could be with money. There are many ways this can show up in your life.

If you have emotional suffering, this is a great place for you. Sadness, confusion, anger, hurt, self- judgment, anxiety. We can address all of these in this course. If what you've tried in the past -- say you've tried therapy, or various self-help methods -- whether they're books, different trainers, or even the professional medical field. If you've tried to seek help in the professional medical field, and none of these things are really working for you or you're still not achieving the results you really desire, this is a great place for you.

And if you experience recurring self-sabotage or lack of confidence, a lack of self-esteem, a lack of really believing in yourself, loving yourself, then you're absolutely in the right place.

I want to put my 20 years of healing and education to work for you to skyrocket your life, your love, your success, and, and bring real happiness back into your experience of life. I know you can change your life. I absolutely know it. No matter how bleak or upsetting it may look right now. Absolutely, you can change it.

How do I know this? Because I come from a pretty uncomfortable, I call it "shitastic", an awful place, and I've changed it all. And so have so many of my clients. In fact, this has been so impactful for so many lives.

That's why I created this course. That is why I really do this work.

And it all started with our little house in our little town. It's basically an old school story of mom at home with the kids, dad working all day. He was 34 years in the military, maybe 35. And you know, they struggled; they struggled to make ends meet. They struggled to pay their bills. They struggled to pay the mortgage. In fact, I can remember, while I was growing up, I had a paper route. I was probably 11 or 12. It was fun to start earning some money on my own and start building a little bank account. My parents actually borrowed money from me to pay their mortgage.

But the biggest struggle I believe they had was that they struggled to be really happy. They struggled to be loving toward each other. I mean, a real love in the family, right? We had moments of happiness, of love, of course, but what I noticed most of the time is they struggle to live and enjoy life.

They lived pretty simply and we never really took a family vacation the entire time I was growing up. It was just outside of what we could afford to do. So as a child, I watched as, over time, my parents became discouraged. They had these bouts of anger or irritation or sadness, and finally later in their life, big name disease set in and took over the last years of their life. I decided that when I I grew up, I was going to be different. That was not what I was going to experience.

So I went after an amazing career with great pay, great benefits. I sought out an amazing life. I worked hard and I focused on my future. And my life was different. I did really well getting out of my own, I had an amazing tour in the military, traveled and explored in the military. And I excelled in college, graduated close to the top of my class. I was very successful and I really enjoyed it.

I had to go through some crazy things, like sleeping in my car to finish graduating college because I was totally out of money. It was all part of the journey, but I landed a career with a major airline and traveled the world. I made great friends. I got married and bought a home on three acres of land, an in-ground pool. My life was going to be different. And it was, it was very different.

But now here's the big takeaway. I had many moments of success. And what I noticed over time, was that whatever success I had in terms of money, career, relationships, love -- the end result was always some problem, some challenge, some falling apart of, or upheaval to my dream. Some event, some person, some situation would come along and just kind of blindside me and catch me off guard. I'd end up shocked. I would usually try and take a step back, disconnect from the situation, and say, okay, how did this happen? And what can I do about it? But I would struggle to return to a place of joy.

So no matter how successful I was, something would occur that would always bring me back to a familiar place. I don't know if you've experienced that or not, but once you really can identify it, that's the first key.

So the result of all this was an inability to achieve consistent success, consistent amount of happiness, a consistent love, consistent success in my career and in my results. I couldn't understand why it kept happening. How can I be so loved, so successful, so abundant, and then seemingly things fall apart? My life was actually a rollercoaster of good and then all of a sudden bad, and then happy and then sad.

One day, not too long ago, I had a huge wake-up call and decide, okay, it's time to figure out why this is happening.

I got really curious and I wondered, why do some people do so well with life and others find life difficult? Why is this happening to me? So I chose to study with amazing teachers, I worked with some hypnotherapists, which really helped me change some of my bad habits and opened up a whole new world for me. I worked with brilliant philosophers. I've trained with some really brilliant people --success trainers, scientists, physicists -- and what I really began to understand from all of this is what I'll be sharing with you.

All of these teachings brought me right back to the realization that it was my own mind. It was my own way of perceiving, anticipating, thinking, my own concepts, my own paradigms, my behavior.

It was my mind that kept causing this upheaval. So why are some people so successful and others seem to flounder or sink into mediocrity? It is the mind. What the mind patterns and chooses to believe has a massive effect on our life. I grew up with many concepts and perceptions about life, about myself, that I believed were completely normal.

It turns out they weren't. They're not normal. See, I had a level of trauma. It wasn't horrific. But it wasn't a small trauma. But I had a level of trauma as a boy that caused a lot of fear as I went through my daily life. Things would be going really well, and then all of a sudden -- WHAM -- something would come along, knock me from my place. I would be having fun. I was a kid, right? And our family experienced this uncertainty, this anxiety, this fear at any random time. And it actually caused some doubt for myself. I could be having fun, playing, running bases. I would be hanging out with friends and all of a sudden I'd be grabbed from behind and dragged into the house.

But that's not the point I wish to make. I really want to make the point that it was how my mind perceived the situation, how it became patterned to follow a train of thought -- that is what's most important.

So whatever experience you've had, your mind has been trained or, has ideas about what has happened, who you are. And we need to change that. So life will smooth out and you can really enjoy yourself.

My mind, not knowing what to think about many of these situations and events made a lot of assumptions about these experiences and what to believe. And most of it was not true. We do that a lot with worldly issues, different situations, people we come in contact with, and it's very impactful on us when we're younger. We just take things in and don't really question them. But they show up later in life in different ways, in different situations.

Over time, my mind developed an underlying anxiety. I was not even aware of this. It was unconscious. I was anticipating another bad experience before it ever happened.

I would continually show up. I was a fantastic worker. I would achieve great things, put my best foot forward, work hard. And I would end up in this great place and WHAM -- something, some experience would catch me off guard and knocked me down. Okay. It just like -- Wow. What was that?

So this played out in many scenarios and events and relationships, with all of the success and accomplishments that I had throughout my life. I would experience years of this again and again. And I really didn't notice that there was a pattern happening until I decided to really look at it.

Eventually I ended up in this place of discouragement, disbelief, and this kind of sadness set in. It's like, wow, am I ever going to get past this? There was some type of emotional pain, and then I would desire to move on to something else and do something else. And then, oh boy, okay, here it is again. And that doesn't feel good.

Well, let's try something new. Let's try doing this differently. Let's get out of the house is what I used to tell myself when I was a child, without really understanding what the experience was showing me, I would run from whatever was happening, and whatever I believed was causing the issue. But at all costs, what I wanted to do is avoid the pain. I wanted to avoid the stressful situation and do something else.

So over time, over many years of this type of experience, of course, I started to become a little discouraged. It seemed I was never going to break through this cycle.

So what I understand today from all of the teachings and trainings that I've had is it's my own mind. I'm seeking a known and familiar state of mind. As a boy, I experienced following a certain pattern of thought and feeling I had become very familiar with as I grew up and I identified with it.

So let me tell you why that's so important to grasp and understand, and that's what we're going to do in this course. As much as we hate it, as much as we dislike feeling this way, your mind expects it and your body unconsciously craves it. The unconscious mind is in control of the body. And yes, you're unconsciously craving it because the body is feeling this over time. That old familiar state of mind that you experienced and felt as a small boy or girl.

So many of us may have had an experience in life. Maybe it wasn't quite as traumatic, but we still have to return to a specific feeling that we really want to avoid. Avoiding it is really not helping either.

We're going to go through some beautiful pieces of wisdom here that are really going to help you as far as moving forward. And I want you to be successful. One thing is for sure, this feeling will become stronger over time. As you age, the feeling becomes stronger because each time you feel it it's affecting your entire body. Yes, there are beliefs involved. Yes, there's a pattern of thought and behavior that is well-known to each of us, or we'll uncover those as we move forward. But this is what we're going to identify and learn to overcome in this course.

And it will work for you. It's worked for so many clients and I can't wait to get started. I can't wait to get started and really support you in moving forward and letting go of what's really not working.
