Project management is the application of processes, methods, skills, knowledge and experience to achieve specific project objectives according to the project's acceptance criteria within the agreed parameters. Project management focuses on achieving the final deliverables which are constrained to a limited timescale and budget on any project.


Thus, this course is designed to the students understand all the different methodologies available to a project manager who intends to deliver a project within its constraints of time, budget and scope.


This course will be focused on taking an in-depth look at the Traditional or plan-driven project management approach, its advantages, disadvantages as well as the environments within which it would be most useful. The students will also be walked through all the stages in a Project's lifecycle which include Initiation, Planning, Executing, Monitoring & Controlling and Closing. Other key project management concepts and terminologies will also be explored including Earned Value Management, Risk management, Project communications, Gantt chart and many more.

This course will also be walking the students through the change-driven or agile project management methodology. It will also be exploring the lifecycle of an agile project which would include Envision, Speculate, Explore, Adapt and Close. The course will also explain in detail key Agile project management concepts such as agile ceremonies which include the Scrum meetings, Sprint Planning Session, Sprint Review and Sprint Retrospective.

Finally, this course will be taking an in-depth look at the new PMI exam content outline (ECO), the new project management framework and its three domains namely: People, Process and Business environment as outlined in the PMBoK 7.

The course is structured so as to give you the best chance of passing the PMP exam in one sitting.
