This course on 'Education System in India'  gives a comprehensive and enlightening grasp of the entire educational progress in India from ancient educational systems ( Vedic, Brahmanic, Buddhist educational systems), medieval system (Islamic educational system), and modern educational efforts (Education under Colonial British India & Education in Post-independent India after 1947)  and the impact of each system contributing to the great quality in modern Indian education.

India is one of the biggest democratic countries in the world. It has more than 130 crores of citizens of which about 45% of young students need quality education in academic, technical, and professional education. Indian education has been qualitatively well-rooted in its ancient, medieval, and British Colonial education. After India's independence in 1947, special efforts have been made by different education commissions headed by highly-renowned, patriotic experts to take in all good blessings from ancient, medieval, and Muslim educational systems, and a new modern educational system have evolved taking into consideration all the needs and demands of free independent India.
