Fundamentals of Internal Control

Dear participant candidates,

I have nearly 25 years of professional experience as a senior manager, management and project consultant in the public sector, Internal Auditor/Inspector and Manager in the banking sector, as well as having international accreditations in the fields of internal audit, risk management and internal control.

Internal control is critical for businesses to achieve their goals and effectively manage risks. The strategic value of internal control has become even more important today, where business management is becoming more and more complex.

As an internal audit, risk management and internal control professional with international accreditations and extensive experience, the training program I prepared in accordance with global standards is aimed at candidates who have basic business knowledge, interested in internal control, internal audit and risk management, and need an essential level of competence in internal control.

chapters are explained. In course content;

- Management and employee roles, policies and procedures, accounting, budgeting and reporting principles that make up the internal control system are explained.

- Within the scope of internal control tools, types and techniques; controls according to their functions, key and secondary controls, manual and automatic controls, information technology controls are emphasized.

- The objectives and components of the COSO Internal Control Framework, which is the most common international control framework, are presented.

- Benefits and limitations of internal controls and factors affecting the effectiveness of controls are discussed.

- The control cycle approach and control self-assessment are discussed within the scope of the effectiveness and efficiency of controls, and important issues in the development and evaluation of controls are addressed.

As can be seen in presentation document, mainly; explanatory visual narration in order to provide the understanding of the training subjects more easily and to convey the important subjects in a striking way has been used.

At the end of the chapters, 30 questions in total containing important practical insights are answered. In addition, thanks to the trial test of 20 questions at the end of the training, participants will be able to reinforce their knowledge they have learned by experiencing it.

By the end of my training; the participants will gain essential level knowledge, skills and competence about the importance of internal control, its basic principles, internal control techniques and tools, effectiveness and efficiency of internal control.
