Essential Guitar Theory: Spread Voiced Triads & Exercises

Essential Guitar Theory: Spread Voiced Triads & Exercises

Master guitarist Steve Briggs expands your understanding of chords by walking you through the mechanics of triads and their many practical uses. His time-tested approach uses carefully-crafted exercises, and combines them with practical application using backing tracks to solidify your skills.

Carrying on from TRIADS Guitar Theory: Play All Over The Fretboard, we're going to deepen your learning here and really make you a rhythm guitar master.

In this course,  you’ll learn about a new kind of triad – Spread Voiced Triads. These are great to expand your vocabulary and start voicing chords more like a keyboard player would. You can practice these voicings with the playalong videos. You'll also learn about the concept of neighbouring chords like the two chord or the 7 chord to make your rhythm guitar parts even more interesting. There's also the augmented chord that can spice up your progressions and finally the rootless diminished 7th chord that's great to use in a blues jam as well as your own tunes.
