Analog Electronics-II

This is advanced Analog Electronics course. The complete course is divided into five sections. Section-1 covers BJT introduction, BJT Biasing, BJT small signal model, BJT as a switch, Current Mirror. Section-2 covers FET Biasing, FET small signal model, Common Drain, Common Source and Common Gate configurations of FET with analysis. Section-3 covers introduction to Multistage Amplifiers ( Block Diagram, Gain Calculation, Gain in Decibels , Different types of Coupling arrangements : R-C Coupling, Transformer Coupling, Direct Coupling, Advantages & Disadvantages of Coupling, Comparison between Coupling Schemes, R-C Coupled Amplifier, AC & DC Equivalent Circuit of R-C Coupled Amplifier), Distortions in Amplifiers, Feedback Amplifiers, Oscillators and Power Amplifiers. Section-4 Covers introduction to Differential Amplifiers, Operational Amplifiers, internal structure of an Operational- Amplifier, Characteristics of an ideal Operational Amplifier, Non idealities in an Operational Amplifier (Output offset voltage, input bias current, input offset current, slew rate, gain bandwidth product), Concept of Virtual Ground, Op-Amp Configurations: Inverting Amplifier, Non inverting Amplifier and Differential Amplifier, Linear Applications :Instrumentation amplifier, integrator, active filter, Voltage regulator, oscillators (Wein bridge and phase shift) using Operational Amplifier and  Analog to Digital Conversion using Operational Amplifier (Successive Approximation type ADC and Parallel Comparator type ADC). Section-5 covers Non linear applications of Operational Amplifier :Hysteretic Comparator, Zero Crossing Detector, Square-wave and triangular-wave generators,  Precision rectifier, peak detector and Monostable Multivibrator.
