Christian Celebrations

Christian Celebrations

The course deals with the Christian celebrations. Many equate them with the old temple worship and feel we no longer have to celebrate them. Yet, they are important in reminding Christians of the meaning of the main Christian doctrines and the Christian calendar gives order to teaching the doctrines that makes them easier to understand. The celebrations reveal God’s plan for our life from our salvation, through our Christian experience, up until His return. It is difficult to reach Christian maturity without knowing the path we must travel to get there. In addition, we celebrate things that are important and that we want to remember like birthdays and anniversaries. They represent milestones in our travels and provide opportunities to get together and enjoy celebrating those milestones. The course travels from our preparations for Christmas to our preparations for Christ’s return.  It includes:

A-God’s Rule of Restoration

B-Christian celebrations from the preparation for Christmas to Easter

C-The history and meaning of Communion from Israel’s deliverance from Egypt to our own deliverance from sin and death

D-The history and meaning of Pentecost from the establishment of the nation of Israel to the establishment of the church.

E-The meaning and history of Christ the King Sunday from the creation of the world to the creation of the new heaven and the new earth following Christ’s return.
