This series of tests is designed to aid those students who have completed, or have nearly completed, a course of studies in the subject of Category Management, following the syllabus of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply. The tests include over 100 challenging exam-style questions, each of which is accompanied by suggested possible answers, correct answers and a short discussion around the question. The questions are based on the CIPS 2018 / 2019 published syllabus for the subject, with at least one question on every element of the learning outcomes / indicative content.

These tests are challenging, and it is unlikely that anyone able to pass these tests will fail the CIPS assessment in this subject. The CIPS syllabus takes a broader view of the subject linking it to / distinguishing it from the area of Strategic Sourcing which is presented in the syllabus as an alternative strategic procurement approach for organisations in their pursuit of value for money and effective deliverables.
