The 7-day Foundational Yoga Series is a deep look into the beautiful design of yoga. Most yoga studio classes hardly have or give enough time to explaining some of the fundamentals of yoga: asana, pranayama, and meditation. In this series, we will go beyond the postures and flexibility, and focus on the HOW and WHY we are coming into these poses (asanas), breathing techniques that can shape our bodies’ autonomic nervous system (pranayama), and come into the centering practice of meditation. If you haven’t been including meditation within your yoga practice, then you’re missing the path of yoga.

Each day we’ll learn the specifics of new postures, their benefits, and why they’re effective coupled with pranayama techniques. You will be able to come back to these practices again and again so that you can then see that consistency paired with intentional breathing will bring you into a meditative flow. We begin by looking at various sun salutations / sequences and how to include the breath, learn a new pranayama technique each day, and finally sit in meditation to soak up the amazing benefits from each practice. We’ll practice Vinyasa, Slow flow, and Hatha yoga. You’ll also receive a free Yin class, guided meditation, and Sama Vritti (box breathing) session.
