Corporate Showcalling for Producers and Junior Producers
Corporate Showcalling for Producers and Junior Producers
This course is designed for producers and junior producers who want a full exploration of the role of the showcaller.
It delivers a greater understanding of the role of the showcaller and their relationship with the producer, together with practical advice on how to put together a showbook and showcall.
The course is divided into easy to follow sections on all the technical departments, how a showcaller relates to them and what each expects of the other.
Explanation of screen presets and how to integrate them into your showcalling.
The challenges of ever changing and late content delivery
How to compile a showbook and work with it during rehearsals and then in the show.
The relationship between the producer and the showcaller is critical for the successful delivery of a show.
A showcaller relies entirely on the information delivered to them by the producer. You can only call what you know.
One of the things that makes life difficult when showcalling is finding a way to integrate ever changing information into a showbook in a way that makes it possible to convey the cues in a way that all the departments understand what is coming up.
The course emphasises the importance of providing this information to the showcaller in a way that is easy to assimilate .
There is one short section on Virtual Showcalling. I am creating a new course to cover this in more detail.
