Calm is Your Super Power!

The course "Calm is Your Super Power" is designed is to get you started with providing reliable, effective and tangible strategies you can begin to implement and integrate into your own life. With over 12 years of experience and assisting hundred of clients as a pediatric occupational therapist and now serving the adult population in private practice, I've been afforded the wonderful opportunity to teach and assist clients and students integrate these techniques into their own lives to feel more connected into the body, empowered and to breeze through triggers with less chaos and increased ease.

The strategies and methods I'm teaching are highly beneficial in making positive changes in the central nervous system, which allows you to become more calm, centered, empowered and focused. You can learn to re-train your nervous system to get out of fight-or-flight and the Sympathetic Nervous System storm, often created in the body and become a master at emotional regulation. Letting go of stress, anxiety and negative experiences facilitates higher learning and improves social interactions and a heals your brain. You may even meet a new friend along the way or try a new hobby!

You'll receive a plethora of education,  methods of longevity, as well as quick go-to tools you can pull from, when feeling stressed or in a highly charged environment. Upon completing the course, you'll be armed with a wide variety of techniques to bridge mind-body-spirit, to move forward and out of the trauma-drama cycles. You no longer need to keep running on the hamster wheel. It's time to jump off and discover Calm is now your Super Power!


Course Lessons:

  • Anxiety, stress and worry....Oh My! (stress response cycle and HPA Axis)

  • It's An Inside Job (self-regulation skills as a mastery skill)

  • Trip to Vagus! (increasing vagal tone and vagus nerve activation)

  • SOS! Help is on the Way For Sensory Systems! (visual, auditory, smell, taste, vestibular, proprioceptive, multisensory)

  • Sometimes When We Touch (tactile system and the importance of touch to regulate the nervous system)

  • I Like to Move It! (movement breaks for the body)

  • Does my Breathing Make me Look Shallow? (breathwork)

  • Are you Outta Your Mind? (mindfulness to stay connected and present)


By implementing the strategies on a regular basis, expect to:

  • Develop inner calm, resiliency and less triggering

  • Notice subtle changes in the way you interpret and organize sensory input

  • Feel empowered, in control of maintaining a calm body and mind, even in the midst of chaos

  • Greater awareness of how specific tools and methods impact your nervous system

  • Re-train your nervous system from chronic SNS activation to prolonged time in PNS

  • Integration of the methods and strategies in a meaningful way into your daily routine

  • The understanding of how mind-body-spirit connect to form a cohesive, whole being...that's you!


Note: Results will vary with each individual, as each individual is unique with body chemistry, and the way in which sensory input and energy is integrated into the body as well as intentionality. The duration of input will be adjusted according to your own individual needs.
