An Introduction to Gene Expression

An Introduction to Gene Expression

Gene expression plays a key role in health and disease. This course was designed for those with a curiosity of how genes are expressed in living systems. If you are a life-long learner, a high school (US) or college (UK) student looking to brush up of the molecular basics of gene expression, this course is for you. First year undergraduate students will also find this course useful as a revision resource, 2nd and 3rd years may find the material more basic for their level.

What makes me qualified to teach you?

I have an MSc in Molecular Medicine and currently a PhD student in computational biology, both at Russell Group Universities in England. I am therefore very familiar with the subject matter! Above that, I have plenty of experience teaching students like you in a previous role as an academic assistant. I understand what students have trouble grasping and the best way to help in their knowledge acquisition.

What you can expect from me

You can expect a very engaged instructor, I am very hands on with my students and I will be available to answer questions and take feedback on this course. I will also be holding monthly Zoom live sessions to further give you an opportunity to interact with me and ask questions about the material. Do not hesitate to get in contact if you have any questions about the course material, the best way to learn is by asking questions!

I look forward to seeing you on the course!

All the best, Rugare
