How a woman can build a great career in IT

How a woman can build a great career in IT

I have worked in IT for 13 years as a software tester, test manager, line manager, I worked in presales and I was Head of QA. I worked for startups, mid-sized companies and corporations. I spent the first 12 years of my career in Romania, my home country, then I moved to Switzerland. I always worked in an international setting where I met people from different cultures and with different areas of expertise.

I observed that in popular global IT hubs like Romania and India the presence of women in IT is quite good, around 35-50%, while in western countries like Switzerland or UK the presence of women in IT is quite low, around 10%. The reason why this happens is because tech careers are not seen as traditional for women. We can definitely change the statistics by changing people`s mindset. I believe in the power of example and I believe in the power of influence.

During the course, I will take you through education you need to get a job in IT, how to prepare for an interview, doing the actual job, continuous improvement, how to get a promotion, leadership and IT events. I will also talk about how to build a personal brand inside your company so that you are popular, you easily build relationships with people, you can find help faster in a complex or difficult situation and you have better chances of getting a promotion.

I hope you will enjoy my course and it will help you build a great career in IT!
