Why exercise during pregnancy?

This pregnancy exercise course is designed for mom's in their 1st or 2nd trimester.  All exercises are safe for pregnant women and will help you feel stronger, stay limber, prepare for a healthy birth and faster recovery


Is it safe to exercise during pregnancy?

Yes, If you are healthy and your pregnancy is normal, it is safe to continue or start regular physical activity. Physical activity does not increase your risk of miscarriage, low birth weight, or early delivery. However, it is important to discuss exercise with your obstetrician or other member of your health care team during your early prenatal visits. If your health care professional gives you the OK to exercise, you can discuss what activities you can do safely.


Who can benefit from this class?

Everyone.  Perfect for beginners and no prior exercise experience required.        


What if you don't have 45 minutes?

If you don't have time for a 45 minute workout, you can focus on exercises targeting specific body parts such as your arms or back by watching shorter 5 minute exercise routines.


Pregnancy Total Body Workout is taught by Melanie Douglas, a Registered Dietitian, Certified Trainer, and mother of four.
