Ustad Zakir Hussain ji has played this Rau in most of his tabla solo concerts atleast thousands of times over a period of last 55 years. This is a Lucknow Gharana Rau composed by Ustad Wajid Hussain , the Khalifa of Lucknow Gharana. This Tabla course will have each and every lesson explained in full detail so that it is very very easy for tabla learns to watch and learn effortlessly.

You should practice every lesson in slow speed first for many number of times and then gradually increase the speed of your playing. This will help you play much much better than anyone.

Many students and tabla learners do not know What is a Rau ?? 

A "Rau"  is a combination of bol that is played at a singular constant speed first.  But in the fasterspeed / Laya, the same bols are not used which was earlier used in playing at slow speed . Instead the rhythmic pattern is only followed from the slow speed and the bols become different in the faster speed.   

This is the very essence and speciality of Rau which makes it totally different from a Rela.
