Preparing for College

In this course, you will learn the skills to be successful in college, determine if college is the right choice for you, ways to pay for college, assistance in choosing a major, and transferring to another university. The main suggestion is a computer and internet connection, two of the same suggestions that college will have. This course will help throughout every step of the college journey. I have posted several resources and several pieces of advice that can be used throughout every aspect of college and in the workforce.

We'll go over everything that a college student: present, future, and transfer, needs to know. College can be tricky at first, but guidance makes it easier. Helping you along your journey with the 'whole college thing.' Making sure your major is what you want to do is important as well. So, I'll give advice on how to do that.

After every topic, there is a question assignment page. You can ask questions and I'll try to answer them whenever I logon. Sharing your question(s) with other students allows there to be more of a dialogue. I encourage you to do this and to treat the question tasks as a discussion board.

Even if you aren't sure about going to college, enroll in this course. I talk about when college is and isn't needed. With this course, I try to cover all areas of the experience and what people need to know.
