Plantar fasciitis is condition that is caused through a combination of factors such as in adequate footwear, overweight, increase in activity etc. To effectively treat this condition a detailed assessment, accurate diagnosis and multidiscipline approach is required.

  • On this course I aim to pass on my clinical experience as a podiatrist, physiotherapist and acupuncture practitioner with supporting evidence for the management of plantar fasciitis. You will learn how to assess, diagnose and treat some of the most stubborn cases of heel pain through the use of a combination of tried and tested treatment modalities.
  • You will first learn how to take a detailed assessment of the foot to determine the primary cause of heel pain before reviewing and demonstrating how to apply some of the most effective treatment modalities (acupuncture, massage, ischemic compression, myofascial trigger points, steroid injections, orthotics, etc) . Throughout the course there is a focus on the application of medical acupuncture to allow practitioners to select effective points in the management of heel pain
