The mysterious Moon has awed humankind through the generations. Writers write about it’s calmness, poets try their best to capture its charm in their words and astronomers like us keep finding scientific ways to unlock its mysteries. Our ancestors believed in working all day and retiring with the sun. This was because the solar light guides us with it’s light and while night to perform the necessary tasks it’s the lunar light helping us out. Moon deserves our thanks for many things. Closest celestial body to our mother Earth, only one that us humans have managed to touch with our own feet.

In this course we will learn about how the Moon was formed, we will learn about its various characteristics. We will learn about how and why we get to observe its phases through the month and also how the lunar eclipse takes place. We will travel back in time to understand a bit about how the first humans landed on the Moon with Apollo 11 mission and many more that explored it.
