There’s a reason why the airline attendants tell us to put on our own oxygen mask first before attending to children or others. If we can’t breathe, then we’re not going to be able to help anyone. And this is also true in life. If we are not physically and mentally well, then we cannot take good care of anyone else. If we’re not successful, then we can’t help others to succeed. And if we’re not happy, then we cannot hope to make others happy.
I designed this course for those of us who like to take care of others, but understand that in order to do that, we need to take care of ourselves also.
What’s in the course?
The course is in 4 sections:
Beginning with Mindfulness, because this is the keystone to all of these practices, there are 4 basic practices that will help you to keep your emotional balance throughout the day. Think of them as a kind of “reset” button for your mind.
The next section is Life-Satisfaction. This section contains hacks and practices to increase our sense of appreciation and gratitude for what we have, thus increasing our sense of satisfaction with our life.
The third section contains practices specifically for maintaining our Mental Health. For example, there’s a tip on how to distract yourself for a while when you’re feeling overwhelmed, and another on understanding the need to talk to someone when you’re feeling really down.
The fourth section is focused on Success. Here there are some hacks and tips on the right mental attitude for achieving our goals and dreams. One example is letting go of our fear of failure, something that shackles so many of us to a place where we are unhappy and dissatisfied with life.
By The End of the Course:
This course is designed to give you the tools you need to take care of yourself in all areas of life. But they are tools that take some practice to learn and to use.
Learning and more importantly incorporating these practices into your daily life will eventually put you in a better position to deal with whatever curve balls life throws at you. It will help you to define your goals and to move toward those goals. And you will find it easier to find a place of peace and calm from inside of you whenever you need it.
